“That was easy”-Sakura Chiyo from Gekkan Shojo Nozaki-kun
Gekkan Shojo Nozaki-kun Episode 1 Montage with Hilarious Moments
The intro was quite funny but the animation! The animation was absolutely breath-taking! It was incredibly clean and colorful, so if you love really well-animated anime series like say the currently airing Tokyo Ghoul, Free! Eternal Summer, and Re: Hamatora then this is one series to check out. I mean the attention to detail to showcase some of these drawn manga pages in this first episode were so noteworthy. What detail! Really though if your an anime fan how good animation is does play into what series you would be following. After all anime pretty much is about the animation then the story, then character development, and finally the music.
Soon after that hilarious intro though we quickly get the Opening Theme Song (OP). I kind of like that about the anime series since with some or should I say most you have to wait until the second episode to either get the OP or ED but with Gekkan Shojo Nozaki-kun you get the OP as soon as you are introduced to the setting of the series. You also get the ED with this first episode. Kimi Jyanakya Dame Mitai by Masayoshi Oishi is perfect at capturing how this anime series will deal with one of the characters being a manga artist but besides that the singing! The singing is so upbeat and the music along with the animation sequences were already making me reach anime heaven at that point.
Needless to say this really has to be an anime series you need to be checking out! I had originally tuned in for Gekkan Shojo Nozaki-kun probably because of the main guy character, Nozaki-kun, being a manga artist and since in the past enjoyed reading the Bakuman manga and thought why not this but this is almost turning out as fun as watching Dog & Scissors and Space Dandy when the comedy is involved.

Kimi Jyanakya Dame Mitai (It can be translated as It looks I am nothing without you) by Masayoshi Oishi
The OP: The OP keeps getting taken down on Youtube which would be great promotion if it was visible, so others would hear the music artist’s song and or find out about the anime series. I mean really it is an OP. Its not like it is a whole anime episode. Such a loss of good promotion there. I really think those involved with the anime should really make an attempt to put out anime OPs and EDs through official channels. Everyone who is reading the blog. You can listen to it on Crunchyroll, then.
